Weighing in at only 2.8 pounds and measuring 7.5 inches in length, the DR1 drywall-specific router is easy to hold and packs a significant punch. Custom created for drywallers by drywallers, the DR1 is 20 percent shorter and features a smaller grip diameter than its competitors, providing enhanced cutting capabilities and control while minimizing user fatigue.
Even with its small size, the DR1 doesn't skimp on power. In fact, at 33,000 RPM versus the competition's 30,000, the DR1 is the fastest spinning drywall tool on the market. And, its six amps of power deliver up to 45 percent higher speeds under load than other models, providing more power to cut around large areas such as windows and doors. And thanks to overload protection, you can be sure the DR1 will operate smoothly every time you use it.
Chock-Full of User-Friendly Features
The DR1 is packed with user-friendly features to help you complete your cut-out work efficiently. To start, a handy on-tool wrench storage compartment simplifies bit changes, and replaceable motor brushes and available service parts reduce downtime. For further convenience, the DR1 has a smart venting system that keeps dust away from you for a healthier, safer working environment.
Additionally, the DR1 features revamped XBITS that are capable of cutting more than 2,000 feet of drywall, a redesigned depth guide that allows for maximum visibility, and a durable, hardened steel lock pin encased in solid aluminum to prevent the shaft lock from breaking.
The DR1-1100 Kit comes with one 1/8-inch collet and nut, one 5/32-inch collet and nut, and 1/4-inch collet and nut. The drywall router can also be used with Zip Bits.
Durable Construction Withstands Tough Jobs
The DR1 Drywall Router is built to last. For starters, a metal reinforced shaft lock, metal bearing plate, and hand polished, die-cast aluminum front housing ensure optimum durability for longer life.
Also, a low-profile hardened steel depth guide and fiberglass stainless steel reinforced body combine with a contractor-grade high-strand rubber cord to stand up to rough-and-tough conditions. A heavy-duty on/off switch is dust sealed to protect the tool from damaging particles.
